For the last Mac of this trip, Nikki and I drove into Delaware, to try out a place we saw online called MadMacs.

MadMacs is a laid-back sports-bar-style establishment that serves up many different kinds of Mac and Cheese, and what I first noticed about this place is that it was popular! When we drove in, we noticed the parking lot was actually pretty packed. And when walking in, the outdoors area had a bunch of kids playing, there were people by the bar chatting, there was a graduation party happening in a side room, there was just a lot of stuff happening! You love to see it!

Anyways, I ordered the "MadMac" - their signature dish, and Nikki got the "Mom's Favorite." My dish was pretty straight-forward: they used cavatappi noodles (not macaroni) and a 5-cheese blend, with sharp cheddar, medium cheddar, jack, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses. They also loaded it up with crispy bacon, and smothered it with BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was pretty cloyingly sweet for my taste, which actually reminded me of another Mac and Cheese that we had in Vermont, where they mixed maple syrup into the dish. And like that other dish, I wasn't exactly a fan at the start, but by the end I was thoroughly convinced! Nikki's dish had roasted tomatoes, garlic, and spinach added, and she loved it.

So yeah, if you're in Northern Delaware and craving Mac and Cheese, try this place out, it's pretty fantastic! My only gripe was that I saw an arcade controller hooked up to a TV, which got me all excited, but on further inspection, it only supported some golf game. D:
