On our first full day in New York City, Nikki and I headed on over to the East Harlem Bottling Company to try out some of their Mac and Cheese. Some friends of ours had recommended the place, so our hopes were high! A short ride on the subway, and a few blocks of walking, and we were there.
We sat down, ordered up, and were grateful that New York City decided to start pouring rain after we'd already arrived and not during our walk. 😅 When the Mac arrived, it was fairly straight-forward: macaroni noodles, a thick white cheddar sauce, a yellow cheddar topping, and a good amount of andouille sausage medallions just to mix things up. It was good, and if I came back to this restaurant I'd might even get it again, but it still didn't blow me away. Personally, I feel it could have used a more distinctively cheesy punch.
All in all, Nikki and I enjoyed the meal, and I was happy to have gotten it. It just didn't stand out.
